About me

Welcome to
WalthamForest Living

I live in Walthamstow and spend my spare time on the allotment, helping with local green projects and showing neighbours simple ways to save money and live more sustainably.

My story

Why I started growing

It began with a few seedlings and a borrowed spade. The allotment quickly became much more than a hobby: a place to slow down, eat better for less and meet people from every corner of the borough. Along the way I learned that small, practical changes — at the plot and at home — add up.

  • Sustainability

Waste less, grow local, compost everything.

  • Community

    Neighbours helping neighbours, always.

  • Affordability

Greener living that saves money too.

  • Wellbeing

Fresh air, good food and time outdoors.

The best thing I grow on the plot is community.

What I do

Where you’ll find me

Three areas, one goal: a greener, kinder and more affordable Waltham Forest.

Kind words

What neighbours say

I’d never grown anything before. A few weekends on the plot and I was taking home salad every week — and made some brilliant friends.

The energy-saving tips were practical and easy. Switching took ten minutes and our bills are clearer than they’ve ever been.

Friendly, local and never pushy. It feels like a proper community project, not a sales pitch.
